Mattenbach

Landscape Ongoing

Stretching for more than two kilometers, the revitalization of the Mattenbach river allows the nowadays canalized stream to become the heart of a new recreational landscape, making room both for humans and their non-human counterparts. By carefully highlighting traces of history and gently redirecting the stream, it transforms the former riverbed into a shaded promenade, where the tall trees of the alluvial forest create a continuous, living corridor.

First prize for the revitalisation of the Mattenbach river in Winterthur.

Stralsund

Built Garden

A cottage, a garden, a pine forest, a beach, the sea. The garden surrounding this house on the Baltic Sea is as simple and placid as the ingredients of its surrounding landscape.

Home Sweet Home

Built Exhibition

The installation sheds light on the origins of the ornamental plant species with which we share the domestic space and the journeys they have had to make to intertwine with our lives.

Regensbergbrücke

Landscape Ongoing

Two levels, two worlds: the open spaces for the high-rise at Zürich Oerlikon are composed of an urban and elegant upper layer while two storey below the infrastructural platform connects with the dry and stony ruderal landscape of the train tracks.

IrchelNord

Completed Landscape

Irchelpark is a key example of the Swiss nature garden movement of the 1980s, which redefined the idea of what a park should be and how it should looks like: Instead of serving as a carefully manicured landscape in contrast to wilderness, irchelpark was conceived as a sanctuary with high ecological values. Building on the same guiding principles, the proposal demonstrates that these ideas remain as crucial today as they were for half a century.
